Rep. Rhonda Butler was born and raised in her hometown of Turkey Creek and has been the owner of Butler and Co Tree Inc for over 20 years. Her company serves over 70 zip codes in Louisiana and employs over 18 people from her parish. Rhonda was raised with a Strong work ethic and Christian Principles, which instilled in her the compassion to work hard and serve people. They drive her to be a better person and leader.

Rhonda owned and operated 2 successfull businesses for 18 years before taking over office management in her husband’s company. Prior to office she served on Board of Tourism in her district for 10 years. Moreover, working in the agriculture industry and serving as a board member 4  years in farming gave her the insight and knowledge of crawfish and rice production. She also Served on advisory board for Cabot Industries for 5 years.

 

Being a special needs mom, she became a big adovacte for children and adults of special needs, where she was ask to sit on PTA at St Marys Special needs school in Rapides Parish. Her involvement, success and Servant Leadership throughout Evangeline Parish is where she gained the respect from her peers and was asked to run for State Representative. 

 

Rhonda will tell you that above all, her pride and joy is being a wife, mother of 4 children, 8 grandchildren and most of all being a special needs mom.
